Hey y’all! I was wondering where y’all went to alter your wedding dress. I feel like ATL will have more experienced seamstress’ than Columbus. Also, I ordered my dress from Ohio. They are shipping it to me mid-May, but the store does not do alterations. My wedding date is in July. Do I need to find a seamstress and give them a heads up that the dress will be coming this summer? Or should I just tell them that in May when it comes? I have no clue the timeline on any of these things. I’m just praying that my dress will be complete by Jult 16!

I used Clara Kim from Clarawedding.com and I also recommended my brides to use her services. Her rate is reasonable and her work is good.
There is no need to tell a seamstress in advance that you need alteration done. You can simply make an appointment with the seamstress in May after your dress arrives.
Please make sure you bring the undergarment and the shoes you want to wear on your wedding day with you when you go for your appointment. 🙂

check out Ruby V, she is an amazing seamstress and specializes in wedding alterations

I used Buckhead Alterations. They do all the alterations for Anne Barge. Maybe a little pricey but not outrageous. I’ve also heard good things about Ruby V.
