Ok so i am getting to the point where i want us to set a date, I would perfer summer, we have waited year to set the date and he does not really want to wait a whole other year. I don’t blame him lol he would elope but I want a wedding for my mom and grandmother. I found a lovely venue with a keyhole courtyard glassed in so rain or shine any season it would work.
I do love it its not my original dream (bare foot beach) but its amazing and it would work no matter what the weather (i live in vancouver so i mean think rain lol alot unless its june july or aug and part of sept lol)
so i mean should i start scoping out full moon dates on a weekend and just jump on it (i wanna get married under a fullmoon i was at a wedding with one and omg its just beautiful dancing in the moonlight) however if its not summer nd its raining does that even matter????
i sorta want to wait till summer but is that just being silly i mean its not all about being outside infact my grandma would be unconfy outside even in the summer she can barely walk now so this venue being all indoors and in one location would be really good for her and i mean she is really a big part of why i want a wedding wedding
thoughts please help thank you

Offbeatwifey2be: If you want to book a book a venue in Vancouver, I suggest you get on it. Many venues are booked up for most of next year.

It’s really up to you. You need to consider if you’re willing to work around the weather? If you live in Vancouver (In live in BC) can you deal with the rain? Outside wedding and photo’s are most likely out. Is an inside wedding okay with you? Size of the wedding and how formal the it is. A wedding can take place anytime of year. In Canada you will save $$$ having a wedding in fall or winter. If you want a summer wedding get on looking for a venue! I’m getting married July 5th. We got the venue we wanted but I waited a bit to long and we didn’t get our choice of dates.

Why not call the venue that you are interested in and see what they have available? In my area, nice venues book up at least 1 year in advance. So even trying to plan for next summer may be difficult because you haven’t given yourself much lead time.
A friend planned her date this way. She knew she was getting married at a certain church. Since the area is notorious for parking problems, she wanted her guests to be able to park once and be done with that battle for the entire day. This meant that she had to choose a reception venue within walking distance of the church. One venue stood head and shoulders above the rest, so she asked what the venue’s availability was. They had literally 1 Saturday available for the next 15 months. So she could choose to have a 6 month engagement and get that final Saturday, or she could choose to wait at least 15 months to get married. Waiting that long didn’t sound like fun to her, so she booked that Saturday and that’s how they got their wedding date.

lol i had a little laps of sanity of course things are booked up (though the place i was in a restruant it does minium spend and you can book it any day of the week) but you are right the weekend days are likely gone lol so next summer is prob just prefect and i can tell him that
or i can leave it to fate and ask what is open all year for satuday and take that lol then i dont have to be the one making the choice i might ave to let fo of my moon thing i totally was not thinking clealry
