With my wedding only 15 days away I’m frantic to finish my seating chart and print the escort cards for my 250 guest wedding.
I’ve been to a lot of weddings and always seem to walk into the reception hall to be slightly stunned at the table numbers – they never seem to be in order!
So… I’m trying to make my reception easier for my guests to find their tables.
I’ve searched online and am unable to find a suggestion for doing table numbers – if I’m not being clear I’m looking for help in NUMBERING my tables… like do I put them like this (with the dance floor splitting the ODDS AND EVENS):
5 3 1 2 4 6
11 9 7 8 10 12
Any help? I don’t want this to be confusing!

I think whatever is logical to you would be logical to your guests.
I would assume numbering 1 – 12 going from closest to the entrace to further back would make the most sense to me.

My reception hall already had the table numbers ahead of time. They use the same system with each event so that wait staff is familar I guess…
They gave me a template to create my chart. We only had eight tables (62 guests) and we had tables 1,3,5 and 7 on one side and 2,4,6 and 8 on the other side (dance floor in the center). If it’s up to you to decide, I would just do the numbers in order to make it easiest?
