(Closed) Seating chart in programs?

Are you talking about seating for the ceremony or reception? For the ceremony we are placing ‘reserved for…’ signs on the first few rows of chairs for VIPs. For the reception I’ve never seen seating charts in the programs but I think it’s a fabulous idea. Then people can find there table number while they wait for the ceremony to start. I’d also do a big seating chart on an easel or something near the door to the reception hall. Don’t do escort cards because people take forever to find theirs and hold everyone else up.

Maybe as well as putting it in the programs do 2 big charts? So people can spread out and see quicker.

I would definately recommend asigning a table to everyone, as that generally seems to save time. If people know where to go, they go there. If they have to figure it out, it takes longer as they wander around trying to find the best place for them to sit.
