So our guest list will be approximately 125 people, give or take. 16 or 17 tables with 8 heads per table. I’m trying to decide whether to do escort cards or a big seating chart. Either one I will DIY. Wondering what would be the easiest for guests and myself as far as DIYing is concerned with the amount of guests. Any insight DIYers??

I have found seating charts easier than looking through escort cards. Just personal opinion

I prefer escort cards both as a guest and as a hostess.
Seating charts have to be done at the least minute, or else you can’t acccomodate late additions or subtractions to the guestlist. Escort cards can be done ahead of time.
You still have to do a seating plan with escort cards, but it is not something that needs to be on display, so you can do it with Excel or ith post-it notes on your wall.

Ooo you’re right! I didn’t think of the last minute additions and what not!!

I’m not sure if it’s a southern thing or what, but I have never been to a wedding with assigned seating. I didn’t know people had assigned seats at weddings until I started to watch wedding shows on tv! LOL This could be because “sit down” meals are very rare in the south; we always have buffets (no wonder we are the fattest states).
