I did ours – the way we presented it was on a magnet board and the escort cards were magnets, so I took the final RSVP yes list, made the magnets, and literally scooted the magnets around to “tables” until it made sense.  Very rudimentary, but it worked for our (small) wedding!!

I ended up doing my own seating chart.  I did place cards for each guest with the table assignment written on it.

I just simply made a list with each table number and then numbered it 1-10 (the amount the table could seat).  Then I went through the RSVP’s and made another list of all the guests that were attending.  I then used a highlighter and crossed off each guest as I placed them at a table and wrote (in pencil) the table number next to their name.  I did this until everyone was placed at a table then I just double checked it to make sure I didn’t miss anyone or sat someone away from their family and friends.

Then I made the place cards with the guest’s table numbers. I organized them in alphabetical order on the table as you entered the reception room.  (so guests that were seated together but last names were different – it was all alphabetical so it was simple to find each person’s card)

I hope that made sense..  Good luck!

P.S I love that Magnet idea!!! ๐Ÿ™‚
