I need some advice.
We are having some children at our wedding and our venue only has two high chairs and no booster seats.
So far we have a child coming that is 6. I will be seating her in a normal chair with a chair cover.
We also have two kids coming that are 4, a couple that around around three, and another that is about 5 months.
So my question is what happens when we run out of high chairs? I mentioned this to my boss, who’s daughter will be almost four, and she said she will probably just sit on her lap. Instead of paying for chair covers for the small children I was thinking of just keeping some un covered chairs off to the side and they can pull them over if need.
What did everyone else do in this situation?

We had 11 kids (out of 65 guests)…parents of kids who are much too small for chairs (under 3) brought their own apparatus of some kind; parents of kids who were around 3-4 had kids in their laps or kneeling on the chairs; kids older than 4 seemed to be fine just on the chairs. For most of the reception, kids were our of their chairs anyway (it was an outdoor, buffet style reception). We also had a kids toy table set up…we put about $200 worth of Disney toys for all ages (nothing that under 3 year olds could swallow) on the table (these became kid favors: every kid could take whatever toy they wanted – there were enough that no one fought over anything – we bought a couple of each kind of toy) & the kids loved the table & were totally fine on their own…at least one parent or grandparent actually wanted to be there with them & any adult at the table kind of monitored the safety of the other kids. The kid toy table was a little lower & had smaller chairs. Good Luck!
