    I think the tables have to be in the pavillion in case of rain

    From your pictures, I like option #2. I don’t think it’s an issue that some people are not under the pavilion unless it rains. Otherwise, I’d say that gives everyone more space to move about and a little space for your first dance.

    I would plan for option 2 with everybody under the pavilion as your backup rain plan. Then if it rains just collapse some of the tables and push the chairs to other tables. You don’t need as muh space when you’re not eating and lots of people will leave after dinner.

    if you cant fit evryone in the pavillion (option 1), maybe you can have a marque outside in the grassy area , so you dont have to worry if it rains or the sun is too bright
