We’re staying at the W, but our event is there so we’re able to get a cheaper rate.  I would try hotels.com and see what you can find… the Waterfront Marriott is around $250, and the W has a $259 rate as well.  I also saw the Grand Hyatt and Inn at the Market under $300 for that night too.

Good luck!  If you can’t find what you like through hotels.com, try expedia, bing, etc- you can usually find better rates.  Or if someone in your family has AAA, try calling the hotel and asking for the AAA rate, sometimes it’s cheaper.

If anything, I would try calling the hotel directly (not the 1-800 number, call the local number) and talk to someone at the front desk.  Call mid-week, mid-morning (around 10-11 am on a Tuesday/Wednesday) when they aren’t busy.  Let them know you are getting married and that you would LOVE to stay there for your wedding night and see what they can do.  Occasionally, you luck out with sympathetic front desk agents who will hook you up 🙂 (I used to work at the Waterfront Marriott so I learned all the tricks)

It’s on the Eastside, but we’re staying at the Willows Lodge 🙂

I reserved the speciality 1 bedroom suite at the Alexis for the night before and the night of my wedding.  Its HUGE and beautiful, with two bathrooms and a jacuzzi tub 🙂  There should be more than enough room for my 6 girls and myself to get ready.

I went there and took the tour which gave me the wedding discount code.  Its WEO I think.  Then I called to make the reservation on their hotline number.  Its $265 for the first night and $280 for the second.. over a holiday weekend!

oh also, if someone you know is a member of SAM, you get a really good discount at the Alexis via the memebership card.

I’ve been assuming we’d get a room close to the airport so we can leave early for our honeymoon the next day without worrying about transportation (since most hotels close to the airport have a free shuttle) but it’s possible now we might have an evening flight the next day, meaning we’d have the whole day free. That would open up many possibilities, and my absolute top choice would be the Sorrento. We stayed in one of their suites a couple of Valentine’s Days ago and completely loved it. I could see their lounge being perfect for a rehearsal dinner too btw.

We’re staying at the Alexis Laughing

Its where we’re having the rehearsal dinner with the Out of Town reception migle following and then we’re also have the day after brunch there. Although FH and I are here in Seattle all guests will be coming from Out of Town so the Alexis is our preferred hotel and its where we blocked all of our rooms. For every x amount of rooms blocked we get a free night. So far we have one free night – we’re thinking we’ll have a total of 3 free nights!!!!!

Other hotels that have some competitive rates are Hotel Max and Andra Hotel – – they were also really great to work with!!!

We stayed at the Hotel 1000 and it was amazing. Actually we stayed for two nights since the night of your wedding you get in so late and you hardly have time to enjoy the room. Amazing room and what a bathroom.  I think it was around $300/night.

Highly recommended.
