I got married in Kenmore at Saint Edward State Park. It is a beautiful park and the old monestary building that we rented out on site made for a very intimate wedding and reception. Parking was a bit of a pain but other than that I’d highly recommend it for an outdoor or indoor/outdoor wedding.

The Center for Urban Horticulture at the University of Washington.  It was beautiful and perfect for an outdoor wedding! We looked at Golden Gardens (how cool would it have been to have a reception with fires on the beach?!), but when we did a site visit, it was SO windy and raining sideways.

Other places we considered:  the Arboretum (too small for us)…uh, that’s all I remember.  lol

@Zelkara:  We totally wanted to do the Saint Edwards Park venue!  Love it!  I was so afraid of stressing over the weather, I had to let the dream go.

Our wedding and reception are at a venue on Capitol Hill called Velocity.  It’s a dance studio with lovely brick walls and wood floors we feel goes with our rustic vintage theme.

@coopstah:  I know what you’re talking about (Velocity)! It is perfect for the theme you are describing!

We were gonna get married in Fort Lewis, but then moved it to Eastern Washington (in my hometown). We live in Texas.

We had our ceremony at Grieg Garden at University of Washington, and had our reception at Lake Union Cafe.

I could not recommend LUC enough! They are reasonably priced, with awesome service, AMAZING food, and they do as much as they can to help get your ideas together as well as set everything up.

  • Wedding: August 2013 - Rosehill Community Center

Hi all!  Thanks to pacNWbride mentioning it on a different thread, my fiance and I ended up booking the Rosehill Community Center in Mukilteo!  Of course, it won’t be for another oh, 16 months, but I can’t wait.  I’m currently trying to research photographers and caterers, and would love any suggestions!

Also, I think it would be sweet if we could have a Seattle meet-up someday, don’t you think?  It seems like it’s been a looooong time ๐Ÿ™‚

Well since we will always have a bride slightly freaking out because we’re near their wedding date, does anybody want to throw out a date?  ๐Ÿ™‚
