I’ve only been to Seattle once and remember it as being awesome.  It would be a wonderful honeymoon destination.

Seattle also has an amazing aquarium if you are into the sea life!

As someone who lives here, it is definitely a great place to visit! There are tons of things to do and so much good food here! If you have any specific questions, I would be happy to answer them! You named some wonderful things to check out. I’d also recommend Snoqualmie Falls, Alki beach, taking a ferry to some of the islands around here (the San Juan Islands are gorgeous) or even doing something simple like touring the Theo Chocolate factory.

I think it’d be a great honeymoon.  I think they even have good enough public tranport that you could skip a rental car and upgrade your hotel a bit.  I’m glad you all have found a place you can agree on, and I’m sure you’ll have an awesome time.

I too have lived in Seattle, and I frequently travel there (in fact I’m there right now). It is one of my favorite places to be!! My husband and I love it here. We took a trip to San Juan Island to go whale watching and we stayed at a cabin that looked over the ocean… it was amazing. He was home on leave from Iraq and it made the most romantic trip. We love going to Pike place market, and buying fresh fruit and wine. Strolling the street and finding fun new places to eat sushi. The people, the weather, the buzz of the city… it’s a great location for a honeymoon. We’re actually thinking of taking a mini honeymoon ourselves after our vow renewal to Seattle. If you go, you will NOT be disapointed. Feel free to PM me if you want any info on where to go or what to do.

If you go to a website called VRBO and look up places to stay at San Juan island you will find cabins to rent for a good price that have hot tubs and beautiful views of the ocean. Plus awesome condos to stay in at the heart of downtown Seattle if that’s what you want.

If you come in June it will be warm and beautiful. The ocean fills the city with a wonderful salty smell that is unlike anything else. Go to the aquarium and walk along the pier before you get dinner. It’s magical. Some of our best memories are from here. The space needle gives you some romantic views of the city at night. Infact, that’s where my husband proposed!

Fi and I went last June as a post-engagement treat.  I think if you love the outdoors, it’s great.  Be aware (Because I wasn’t), it can still be pretty chilly there in June.  I ended up having to go to Salvation Army to buy a couple of sweatshirts!

We visited Seattle some time ago. I am a small, very small town girl and ever since I’ve always said if I were to live in a city it would be Seattle. I think you should go for it!

i really liked Seattle – Pike markets, all the good food (i went in may/june lots of salmon & strawberries) and a few ferry rides to see some of the islands – would happily return
