eklous :  What day of the week are you getting married? Parking is going to be pretty crappy anywhere surrounding Sodo. Nearby, your options are West Seattle (Alki would be really pretty for pictures!) or Downtown. Alki gets pretty packed on the weekends. Downtown at least has paid parking garages, but you will definitly have to walk somewhere – maybe Pike Place or a pier on the waterfront. Golden Gardens or Discovery Park would be beautiful and I believe both have large parking lots! One of these two parks would probably be my top pick. 🙂

Alki (aka West Seattle) is a super short drive from SODO as long as it isn’t rush hour. And there are beautiful spots there for photos! I didn’t hire this photographer, but we really considered them because of this engagement album at Alki:

If you want a more vintage or urban feel, try Pioneer Square. It’s also close to SODO and has some really cool old brick buildings. Parking will be an issue anywhere you go in Seattle, but no reason why you can’t Uber there and back!

If you want outdoorsy/water shots and Alki is too crowded, Myrtle Edwards Park is a hidden gem in Queen Anne and on Puget Sound.

Pike Place Market is pretty close to SoDo, and is super iconic and would make for fun pictures!  Plus, there are open patches all along the coast that you can take advantage of.  Yes, parking will be a challenge, but you might be able to hire a driver for half the day and let him worry about that!

We took our engagement photos at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. Pike Place Market is also pretty accessible from SODO.
