I got him a box full of a bunch of cotton related things. Boxer shorts, undershirts, cotton candy, and I threw a bunch of cotton balls in there. He got me a t-shirt, with our names and wedding date on it.

It sounds like a great excuse to buy some fancy sheets or even a whole set of bedding.

Expensive comforter/duvet cover/towels/blanket/curtains? Custom canvas print? Coats? Couch/sofa? Rugs? Clothes? I would just lump it as fiber and mix and match where you see fit. Good luck!

We got sleeping bags 😊 but sheets etc sound like a great plan (and less activity specific)

sassybeee :  so for the first and second anniversaries we did cheap paper and cotton gifts, with more expensive main gifts. For cotton, I got him some socks with penguins on (he drew a penguin on the letter he wrote for me on our wedding day so I continued that theme on). I can’t remember what his main present was now for the second anniversary. For our third we did our main presents as leather, he got me a handbag and I got him a leather camera bag. But next year we’re back to them being cheap as our main present is two weeks in the Caribbean!
