Hey Bee! Bummer you had to postpone, but YEAH for turning it into something dreamy! Nothing wrong with intimate gatherings, and the palace looks lovely. My vote is for Dress 1. I love what appears to be 3D flowers that give it dimension and texture. Plus the ruffle armbands provide just a little extra umpf.
Dress 2 and 3 visually bother me because the seam for the skirt attachment creates a ^ shape, making it seem like an arrow pointed towards the crotch. I prefer the seam of dress 1 which seems straight across in the front.
Your venue and new plans are amazing. You will have a wonderful, memorable day!
Now… I find it hard to pick a dress just by looking at pictures of models. I say that because my dream dress looked amazing on the model and hideous on me (it looked like I had put on a good 20 pounds). On the other hand, a dress that did not wow me on the model looked like it was made for me once I tried it on.
Have you had a chance to try those on (before everything got shut down)?
Aesthetically, I do not like dress #2, as it looks very lingerie-esque, and that’s a look I never favor unless in the bedroom.
Dress #1 is very interesting visually. Dress #3 has a lovely pattern (but again it flirts too much with lingerie looks to my taste).
Opinions and tastes are highly subjective, and you should go with the dress that makes your heart sing. 🙂
It’s hard to choose when they’re on a model, because they might look totally different when on you. But for what it’s worth:
I like the skirt best on #1, but don’t like the top – it looks a bit like it’s falling down on her!
#2 and #3 – maybe it’s just the photos, but the way the embroidery curves outwards and the seam points upwards make the models look really big across the hips, even though they’re obviously super slim. Not a flattering look, in my opinion. But I love the sleeves on #3 – they would be great for a castle wedding!
So I’d probably go for the skirt from #1 with a top more like #2 and sleeves like #3!
That sounds like a beautiful place to get married!
I like the first dress the best. I would note though that although those arm bands look very romantic, if they are attached to the bodice, it might be hard to lift your arms.
#2 and #3 have a noticeable arrow-like piece of lace on the skirt that cuts the dress, so I don’t like those options as much.
Hard to tell from model photos but based on these alone I’d say dress 1! I really dislike the “crotch arrow” on dress 3, it’s not as noticeable on dress 2.
I also like dress 1 best. I think the flower pattern is really pretty. Of the other 2, I prefer dress 3 over dress 2 as it has less of a lingerie feel to me. I agree with the others that it can be hard to judge dresses on the models. Hoping you get the wedding of your dreams. Your site is beautiful.
Sorry to hear about your situation.
Dress 1 is my favorite. But dress two is what I’d be inclined to wear getting married in a palace; it’s extra for sure, but I think it works in a palace setting and for filling the emotional gap of making the unexpected changes to plans.
I’m not keen on the flowers or neckline on 1. I love the train on 2, and the sleeves on 3.
Dress #1. #2 is my second pick
I like the floral design of #1 most, but hate the whole “skirt looking like its shooting straight out of your @sshole” thing both 1 and 3 have. The skirt on #2 appears to flare out a bit lower to avoid that, though the collage is tiny even when I zoom so it’s hard to tell. So I say #2 or keep looking.
Personally, I would find a dress with straps if there was a good chance a strapless dress couldn’t be fitted in time. I would be afraid an unfitted top on a strapless dress might slip or stick out funny.
I vote for Dress #3
