I’d love to have a second dress, but I’m also planning on changing out of my heels ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had a second dress, but it wasn’t another “white” wedding dress.  In chinese tradition, the bride wears a red dress called a chi pao.  So I changed into that for our reception!

I’m having the reception before the wedding, with a dessert reception following the ceremony. I will be buying a knee-length dress for that.

I vote no, for me personally. It’s the only time I’ll ever wear my wedding dress, and it’s only for a few hours. I want to wear it all night!

I have 2 dresses! I always wanted a short dress but it didnt feel bridal so I got a long dress! so I get my short dress for the reception and my dress that feels bridal and makes Fi happy because he wanted the traditonal long dress. I think it is worth it!

I had to vote no. I’m already spending so much money (mostly because people jack up prices when they hear the word “wedding”) and I just think about the summer I spent in Kenya. Those children had NOTHING (no running water, toliets, schools, books, food). Take the money you would spend on a second dress and donate it to a good organization. Just my opinion though ๐Ÿ™‚ (I hope that didn’t offend anyone).

@MrsDTMajor:  If it is what you want and you have the budget for it go for it!

@KatieLu:  I have 2 dresses and I donate time and money to charitys. I actually won my 2nd dress so I didnt have to pay for it. I am only going to have 1 wedding day I just dont think it fair for you to try to make someone feel guilty about wanting 2 dresses because someone has it worse off than I do.

im going to have two dresses, because I’m wearing my grandma’s dress and it’s so old that I don’t think it could stand to be danced in like I plan on dancing! So I’m going to be doing the cermony, the dinner and all the ‘formal’ parts of the reception, like the dances and the cake cutting and what not, in my grandma’s dress, then will be changing into something short and sassy so I can dance with my friends! I want feathers, but it’s impossible to find a dress that I want for the price I want lol, so we’ll see what I find as the date gets closer.

I said no. If I’m spending over £1000 on a bloomin’ dress, I’m going to wear it as long as physically possible. Seriously, my Fiance is going to have a seriously hard time getting me out of it at the end of the day!

@MsPanda:  My response was to the OP not you. She asked for opinions and had a POLL so I voted because that is the purpose of this thread. I didn’t want to be mean which is why I said “Just my opinion though ๐Ÿ™‚ (I hope that didn’t offend anyone).”
