The dress is gorgeous, but I do agree there is something strange going on under your chest. Can you take it to another seamstress? If she already altered that, it’s not a really good job. It should be flat not all bulgy.

I think that dress looks absolutely beautiful on you. You made a great choice!

That being said, there is definitely something wrong with the boning. The dress should hug your body and not kind of “fold” under at the bust line. What did the seamstress say about this? Maybe you should get a second opinion. And I see the SLIGHTEST bit of a racer back tan, but I don’t know that I would have seen it had you not pointed it out. But the dress style is beautiful on you!

Could you take it to another place and get a second opinion?

Also, I cant tell if its the angle or not, but it looks like you’re leaning forward (or hunching your shoulders forward) in all the pictures. Maybe thats part of why its bunching?

@Lepidoptera:  I would take it to someone else. There shouldn’t be a problem with fixing it.

@Lepidoptera:  Must just be the angle, then. Did the alterations lady say anything about the bunching?

@Lepidoptera:  I would, just in case. It your wedding dress doesn’t fit properly it could ruin your day! Even though it’s just a dress, you deserve to look & feel your best!

If you already paid them $450 they need to fix the dress. It looks like it somehow needs to be tighter in the midsection. About your breasts….were you trying to wear it without a bra? It may not be possible. Have you looked into a really good low back longline strapless bra?

@Lepidoptera:  I would, personally. If its not a big deal to you, then I wouldnt bother, but it seems to be upsetting you a bit.

What about straps to hold it up?

Was the bunching there before the boning was added? You might have her remove the boning and try sewing cups in your gown. If the dress is fitted to your body, it should be smooth and flat and the cups should help add lift to your bustline. The chest isn’t too wide on you after alterations, right? I think, overall, you look gorgeous and with some slight changes, your dress will look stunning.
