Well I had my second fitting. I came out over the moon because I love my dress but when I look back at the pics (not the best pics my mum isn’t great with the camera and I didn’t know where to put my hands) I just feel it looks wrong. I love the back of my dress its gorgeous and photographs well but every full front picture I look odd. I’m not sure if it is just me. The sample dress I tried on was so fitted it was too tight, especially around the thighs, but I feel my actual dress maybe too lose? The seamstress, the lady in the dress shop, my mum and bridesmaids all seem to think it is perfect and how it fits like a glove and true on my torso it is perfect. Maybe it is the way I am standing?
I love how I can move in it and feel free and not restricted but seeing it on other brides it looks tighter on the hips. The thing is standing in my dress looking in the mirror I love my dress, but every time I get home and check the pics to make sure it is ok it is like looking at a totally different dress. It is described as a slim line gown with a fitted satin skirt and lace and tulle overlay I’m just not sure it is right but everyone else seems to think it is perfect and that I shouldn’t change anything about it, I know it needs steaming so maybe that will help. I love it and when I had it on felt so good and when I walked felt good too, just not sure when I look back at the front photos.

I agree it’s perfect. If you went tighter in the hips, the fabric would bunch up and ripple. You look fabulous!

@redbootz: It looks great, but I can totally understand the pic problem. My phone pics are the same way (I look squat) and I finally figured out that some cell phones will automatically resize the photos esp. if you send them from your phone in order to make them fit. They squeeze from the top and bottom and you end up looking shorter and squatter. Still you look awesome!

@redbootz: the dress looks amazing, my only critique is to stand up straight! It will make a world of difference how the fabric will just accentuate all of the right areas if you just try and practice straigtening up a bit when you’re at home or just walking around– great posture can make a huge impact. Very pretty dress!

@redbootz: Does not appear loose. Looks good as it is.

@Mrs_Amanda: thanks, yeah I can slouch and I look down when I walk, my mum told me I should walk around the house with a book on my head! I do agree when I stood taller it looked better. I think I am just concerned it had to much satin skirt and on other brides it looks more slim line. I am going in again to teach my Bridesmaid or Best Man how to tie it up and bustle it so maybe I will feel better seeing it again. The Seamstress said it was a perfect fit and how she hadn’t seen a fit that good in a long time but if its a corset of course it will fit on that part it’s the thighs I think that I am a half inch smaller than the measurements for the dress and not sure it gives me enough of a bottom if that makes sense. But I will work on my slouching.
