so I went to my final fitting today. Everything seemed fine.. I think I was just in such a cloud that I didn’t notice how truly tight it was. My body hasn’t changed and the dress was big when I got it.. I’m just worried that it was altered too small. I said something about the top straps being real tight and she said they needed to be so that they don’t fall off my shoulders. Okay, I get that. But now looking at it.. the back looks stretched and almost makes me look larger. I’m so worried but idk what to do. I get married October 13th.. 12 days. I said I would pick it up on the 11th.
Should i I just deal with it? Is there anything I can do…
First pic is pretty alterations. Second/third pic is today.

Hard to say from a picture but those straps look too tight to me. I’d have your seamstress loosen them a little bit.

My question is if they are that tight will they break when you sit down. I would perhaps loosen them a little.

Looks like the straps are too tight and perhaps the dress was taken in too much, the dress sits up really high in the back?

cccoctober : the back its sitting to high, you can see how the lace its not really showing and its sitting really close to your arms (like a backless dress), it change the style of the dress completely , also its too tight around the waist. its creating foldings . the dress needs to lower down definitely.

Honestly, they look fine to me.
That said, I wore a dress with similar straps to a wedding recently and when I got home at the end of the night I found that my skin underneath the straps had been rubbed raw. The dress didn’t feel too tight, but that style of strap often doesn’t have much “give” to it. If you leave things as is, make sure you pick up some anti-chafe balm.

The dress itself looks fine, I don’t think its sitting to high like other bees suggested. It looks like it fits you perfectly!
The straps however do seem a bit tight (they look fine standing, but I’d be worried about sitting down like PP mentioned.)

First you look beautiful and it’s a great dress! However I do feel it was taken in too much/too high in the back, and doesn’t have that same romantic feel it has in the clipped pic. After the alterations we can’t see as much of the delicate lace details around the back, on top of the straps being really tight. I would definitely try to have her loosen it back up a bit where possible
