ebowers23:  I love this dress! If something doesnt work out with my current dress Im going to buy this one off the rack or a sample. If you want sleeves, ditch the current ones and use the fabrice from the bottom of the skirt after hemming to make them. The current ones dont go with the dress at all. Since youve already bought them, ask if you can exchange them for something else, like jewelry or a veil.

ebowers23:  It’s a pretty dress and it looks great on you. I agree with the other bees about the sleeves. However that’s me. I am a sucker for strapless. Do yourself a favor. If you have the dress, try it on. I do this when I do the same thing and start thinking man I should get a different dress. When I put my dress on, I’m like Nope, this is why I got it. I love it.

ebowers23:  Your current dress is gorgeous!! If having sleeves will make you feel more comfortable, do it! I think in this case the sleeves look a little too wide for your petite frame, so they don’t quite fit properly and slightly distract from the dress. You would stunning in a strapless dress though! Will you be wearing a veil? If you bring the sides of the veil over your shoulders that may help you feel more comfortable as well.

The sleeves are kind of taking away from the beauty of the dress, which is gorgeous and lovely on you!! I know how frustrating it is when you’ve already paid for something like that and end up not using it but don’t feel obligated to use them just because you bought them.  The dress would look much more stunning sans sleeves.  Try a little bolero or shawl!

ebowers23:  The dress is great and I love the embellishment, but I have to agree with others and say I’m not a fan of the sleeves. Like another bee said they seem like an after thought. Is there any way to alter the sleeves down a bit or make them more draped on the sides of your arms possibly?

Your dress is very pretty and you look fantastic in it.  I would remove the sleeves.  You would definitely rock that dress strappless!

ebowers23:  I really like the silhouette and where the waistline is on this gown. I think the sleeves are too wide for your frame.

If you feel like you need the sleeves, might be they altered to something closer to a strap? It would look more in proportion. They wouldn’t have to be as thin as spaghetti straps but a thinner strap would look more in scale with your body and the lightweight material of the dress.

Also, if you are wearing a veil it will divert focus from the sleeves.

Best of luck!

I think you look beautiful! To me, it would look great without the sleeves, because it distracts a little bit from the overall dress! But if you feel more insecure with it being strapless, keep the sleeves!

Well I like the straps/sleeves, but they are perhaps a bit loose? Are they quite finished? If they were made a tad tauter  I think that would  be perfect .

If you don’t  like strapless, you don’t liek strapless!

Like most other bees, I think the dress is really pretty, but I am not overly keen on the sleeves. I think something like this would look much better 🙂

I can’t imagine why you think you would look weird in a strapless dress. You look like you have nice shoulders.

You dress is gorgeous. You are all set to be a beautiful bride.
