@youngORbride:  Been there. I’m currently selling 2 of my dresses to get the one I love! πŸ™‚

Tho its pretty hard to sell your dress :/ … So I suggest by experience just try to stop looking at some other gowns lol..

@youngORbride:  Honestly, honey, I don’t know if a “comfortable” dress exists. Lol. You’re all sucked in in longline bras and slips and things that it’s just hot and gross and uncomfortable. But you forget about what you’re wearing on the day… you get so caught up in how you feel (i.e. absolutely gorgeous!!!) that you could be wearing a dress made of brillo pads and you wouldn’t notice.

@youngORbride:  PS. that dress is BEAUTIFUL on you!!! However, if you really aren’t happy with the way you look in it (I don’t see why you wouldn’t be!!), maybe give something else a try.

The dress is stunning on you! Pain is beauty, girlfriend! I’m just kidding, I am sorry you feel constricted in the dress.

oooh girl, I had a trumpet (which is probably less constricting than your gown) and it was eventually comfy with some weightloss but it was ALWAYS difficult to sit in…

I suggest staying with your current dress, because its gorgeous on your shape, but maybe look for a maxi or a used j.crew one like you’re drooping after to change into for the reception.

Lots of girls change out of their ceremony dress for a more comfortable gown so I would try to exercise that option for your situation… check out the j.crew selection on ebay!

Best of luck!

If you wanted to get Arabelle for a second dress it is on sale right now, plus an extra 25% off with the code OURTREAT.  Then if you don’t like it you can return/exchange at any J.Crew store.

If you’re second guessing yourself, it wouldn’t hurt to try the J. Crew one on. It’s your day and you should feel amazing in your dress.

I get the feeling as soon as you try on a comfy dress for the reception, you will wear it for the ceremony too, do what makes you most comfortable, youre wedding is only one day and you should feel your best! to be honest i like the jcrew dress better! but both dresses are quite pretty!

Hi!

First of all, I think you look beautiful and HAPPY in that picture. That is worth a lot. I, too, am a slave to comfort, and I understand your longing for a comfortable dress (or something less constricting than your gown — though it is beautiful!).

I agree that ordering the J.Crew dress would be a way to give it a whirl, and if it’s no good, you’ll be able to get the idea of it out of your head. And if you love it more than your current gown, wear it for your wedding and don’t think twice. Selling your current gown might take a while, but there’ll be no hurry. You can post it on websites, take it to a consignment store, whatever, and eventually, you will sell it. I say, keep it if you love it, don’t keep it because you already own it.

Whatever you do, you’ll look gorgeous and won’t be thinking about your own dress on the big day!

When is the last time you tried on your original dress?? I went through the same thing this week after quite a few bees said some very hurtful things about my dress, the Maggie sottero Divina. I went back to the salon yesterday, tried it on again, and fell in love all over again!! I hadnt seen my dress since mid-August. Maybe you need to revisit it?? Personally, i love the first one on you. The j crew is pretty but there isn’t a wow Factor. Its your wedding day. You should be able to wear that sexy dress even if you arent a flashy woman in every day life. I’m not a woman who cares about comfort so I stay go back, try it on again. If you still are questioning it, order the J Crew.

You look great in your dress, but if your not happy with it, get another one!
