Its gorgeous! I love chunky rings and bling as well. Once my SO proposes mine will be a 1.25 mira moissy center stone on a 3.5mm band that has 3mm diamond and peridot alternating along the band (2 of each on eaither side) set in a semi low cathedral. The wedding band is the same (5 diamond and 4 peridot). Together the set is 7mm and super thick. As long as you love it don’t worry about the rest.

It is a beautiful ring.  It is not too chunky, it is substantial and that is part of what makes it so lovely.  Congrats

@Fallicious1012: I had/have my doubts too! Its hard not to when you look at at all of the different gorgeous rings that you could have your choice of.  Plus looking at everyones rings here on Bee can make a girls head spin.  Just be confident that you chose it for a reason.  You said “this is it” for a reason.  Once your that ring is on your finger and it has a proposal and a meaning behind it…it will look completely different to your eyes.  Im going through the “did we make the right decision” syndrom right now as well since i helped design it.  Your ring is gorgeous! To me it looks like the right proportions.  If youre worried about drowning out your center stone you could get a plain wedding band so that the ering still stands apart. Or…if its your style you could upgrade to a larger stone in the future.

@Fallicious1012: My SO always tells me to go with my instict.  It sounds wierd…buts its always when I go against what im truely feeling that things go wrong.  I always end up wanting to go back to my first decision.  Never fails.  If your gut says youll love it…trust it.

Have you tried it on with the matching band?  That should be the deciding factor.  For myself, it would be much too chunky with the band, but it really depends on what you love and the look that you want.  This is my set with 2mm bands.

On its own ,2 mm

With the band 4mm total

I had a say in my ring and second guessed myself a bunch. Sometimes I wish I just let Fiance pick it all on her own! Even if it turned out completely different than my preference or taste I would probably love it even more, and have no room to second guess.

Personally I always loved a thick band very much. I absolutely LOVE your ring btw.  Let me assure you that if you are anything like myself, you will probably always second guess something! There are just way to many lovely rings out there to choose from!  You can experiment with bands later.
