For those that didn’t read my about my first trial- it was awful. I was really excited about having my hair done (I never do anything with it normally), imagining myself with some kind of beach/hippie hair…..and I got ringlets. They did not look good, made me feel like I was five and fell out after 2 hours.

So I decided that I’d try a different stylist after fellow bees advice. I spoke about how I’d like a romantic soft look. We tried down first, with loose waves and then an updo. I much preferred the updo! Sadly, the moment I left the salon with my bridal do, it rained and there were strong winds. I spent 2 hours in these conditions and the photo was taken after 3 hours since being done:
Here’s the back, I know the buns a little on the big side!
Let me know what you bees think! I’m feeling so much happier with this hair than the first trial!

This looks lovely – I have to agree it is much better than the first trial.

I like it, but I think it needs a little volume by the crown. Your stylist can “pull” the hair up with the end of a teasing comb to a bit to achieve this. Kind of like the photos below- I like your bangs to the side like that, but that one tendril is driving me a little insane. I would pull that piece back and pin it in. You have awesome hair, btw.

@ddavila2001: I couldn’t agree more. I think this style is far better but it definitely lacks a little root volume.

Sorry I haven’t replied sooner, been a bit hectic with last minute wedding planning!
I’ll definitely ask the stylist to put some more volume into the crown, you don’t realise just how something looks till you look at photos! Thank you all for your advice and pictures, I’m so grateful for the bee!

Definitely more volume, but overall you look great!

@CaptainSpaulding: Thank you! Think I might take the first jessica alba picture that’s been posted with me on the big day, definitely loving that volume!
