Do you have a photo of the dress?

My dress is also ivory.  Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are an eggplant purple and this is quite funny but my Fiance, who hasn’t chosen the suits for him or his guys yet, has thought about grey.

In my mind, I think it would look really pretty.

The colors sound great together.  Don’t second guess yourself!

And on a side note, we are both in Columbia, MO. 🙂

oh my goodness, I think you will be absolutely fine Smile  Ivory and grey go together well, as do ivory and shades of purple, so you dont have to worry about that.  I had a navy, yellow, and white wedding.  My dress was ivory with a stone colored sash.  The ivory and the sash werent coordinating to the wedding overall, but it looked fantastic.  Promise

My dress is ivory too. It’s my Avatar! I actually had my heart set on white and the color was the only downside to my dress. Why so many wedding gowns only come in Ivory is just a mystery to me. I think you should just let it go – in pictures it will look white because it’s not against something white. If anything, keep your flower girls in purple or ivory so there’s nothing white against your dress.

pp made a great point.  My dress looks almost yellow-ish in person but photographs much lighter.  see photo

Oh, and try to stay away from yellow or green accent colors too. They will bring out the ‘ivory’ in your dress. But purple and grey are cool colors that will actually make it look whiter.

I was talking to a lady at the salon I bought my dress at and we were discussing the color and she made a pretty valid point that although white and ivory look very different next to each other but when you get out there with all the other colors its going to look pretty white its just not going to be a blinding white. I personally think it will absolutely fine and i actually like the sound of it quite a bit.
