I am about to sound so ungrateful and I hate thinking about this, but I might…want a second wedding band? I’ve seen quite a few rings lately with two wedding bands. My wedding band is somewhat simple, and lately my e-ring has been looking really simple too…
I’m going back and forth, another wedding band would cost as much as a veil that I really wanted but I went with an inexpensive one instead and have been having second thoughts about that also. Both a second band and the pretty veil aren’t in the budget so I need to pick one. I really believe I am just going through a “second guessing” stage.
Here are some photos of my ring…I am probably just being greedy. Let me know if it would just look better with one, or two.

Very pretty ring! I like it with just the one band, but 2 would look nice also! Maybe just stick with one and get a second for your 1 yr anniversary?

Personally I think your wedding set already looks amazing! I don’t think you’re being greedy, but perhaps since you see your e-ring everyday it’s looking a little commonplace in your eyes. 🙂 I think you should stick to one band for now. Like the PP said, you can always get another band later if you decide you want one afterall!

I told Fiance “well…it is a lot less than getting a bigger diamond!” my diamond is 1ct but it has been looking super small since I’ve seen so many gorgeous rings on the bee. Maybe a second band would take away the feeling of wanting to upgrade my diamond?!

I am right there with you!!! Mine is 1ct too and I know I’ll never want to upgrade because I don’t feel like it will be sentimental anymore. I plan on getting two wedding bands but I love bling! 🙂 The wedding bands will look just like the band on my e-ring. The pic is enormous, sorry. I think yours would look gorgeous with two because of the smaller stones on the side and it will look surrounded. 🙂

I personally think your ring looks gorgeous, and agree with other posters that you should ask for a second band for your 1st anniversary, if that’s what you really want! I don’t think it’s greedy, but just make sure it’s what you really want!

Glad to know I am not alone! You are right about the sentimental value…thinking about it, I’d actually probably regret knowing I wanted a bigger diamond just for looks when Fiance picked it out by himself. I don’t want to hurt his feelings either.
I like the bling factor too. The photos of my ring make the band look larger but it’s actually pretty simple so…I’m leaning towards going for the second band 😀
Ps. I love your ring 🙂 and I like the idea of two wedding bands with yours also!

Thank you! I love your ring as well, he did a great job!! My Fiance picked out the center stone in mine and he is *so proud* and I could never change it. But I also long bling. 🙂 I like simple but shiny, if that makes sense. Plus, you have to wear it for-ev-er. That’s a long time. It can be paid off.

This is the conclusion me and my Fi have come to. My e-ring was originally supposed to come with two bands however he bought it 2 1/2 years ago and they have since discontinued it and the bands that went with it. So i found a band i like and purchased it. Fiance told me i should get two but, i think that’s overkill and we could really use the extra money in other parts of the wedding. So we bought one now and for our one year anniversary he is going to buy me a second band to celebrate. I thought this was a great idea.

That’s true. I am just trying to decide if its something we have to purchase right now… :-/

I think your rings look great together as is and would also look great with two; however, you stated that a second ring really isn’t in your budget right now, if you get the veil. You will get much more use from the second band than you will from the veil, so that is something you might want to consider. If you do have your heart set on the veil, you could get that now, and then get the second band on your one year anniversary.

@Heatherloveskenny: I agree with the PP’s who said your set looks great as is- it’s beautiful!! IMO, from looking at your pics, another band would just take away from the center stone.

I understand what you’re going through because I’ve been there myself but trust me your ring IS gorgeous and I’d be proud to have it! I have a three stone and they only equal 3/4 carat so to me your diamond looks huge! I do have two wedding bands but for me it was about making the ring be big enough for my long fingers. I added one to the bottom for now and then the top band will be for the wedding.
I actually LOVE your ring with the one band and I would agree with the others, added the second would be a great anniversary gift but I too agree with rachgirl82 that adding too much bling makes the e-ring get lost a bit.

I will be wearing 2 wedding bands as well! I ordered a second band about a month ago and am so excited! At the wedding, he will just put both bands on.They are the same width as the engagement setting and will look GORGEOUS with my halo ring. I love the balanced look and the extra bling is a nice bonus lol
