ajillity81 :  I am. We conceived via an iui cycle with our first after 15 months of ttc and luckily on our first iui cycle though, we had previously tried just medicated cycles. My son is now 2 years old and we have been ntnp since I got my cycle back at 3 months pp. We are now in the middle of our first iui cycle for number two and waiting to see what happens.

Sorry to hear about the lack of insurance to cover. Best wishes for when you decide to move forward!

Conceiving for our first included a MMC, a year of trying, 2 cycles of clomid and finally a successful fresh IVF transfer. We started NTNP in April when DS was 5-6 months and conceived naturally in July. My son turned 1 last week and I’m 18 weeks today. For us, I think the stress of trying really got to me physically. I was in a much better head space trying for #2. (I did have my back up RE appointment made, which probably helped keep me calm).

ajillity81 :  it bothers me when people say that too and I just got pregnant with the first! We have a male infertility factor so people telling me my body will change after pregnnacy and the second will come naturally makes me mental. So my pregnancy will fix his sperm? Explain that one to me….

ajillity81 :  Totally understand that! My mom would always say that to me and it always ended in a fight. It seems to especially come from people who know nothing about your journey. I mean for all they know, I could be missing my tubes. Why would they think they would know about my ability to get and stay pregnant? Especially if I did IVF for my first.

I’m totally grateful for this pregnancy, but it was so unexpected. The morning I got my BFP, I was actually panicking calling my RE to move up my appointment. And for some reason, it makes me feel even worse towards people who get pregnant on the first try. Like I can’t believe how easy it was, and I even wrap my head around only trying for one month. I’m rambling and this probably doesn’t make sense. 🙂

Anyway, I hope you don’t need your RE, but if you do, I hope you can hold onto the fact that if they did it once, they can do it again.

I’m currently going through this.  We started TTC #2 in January, got pregnant but it was ectopic.  Been trying again and working with the fertility clinic for cycle monitoring.  I’m 32, but my ovarian reserve is very, very low. I’m about to start Clomid this weekend.  I’m so greatful for the help I’m receiving at the Fertility Clinic, I’m just frustrated that it’s come to this.

Before we had a successful pregnancy resulting in our son I had 2 early losses. Trying for # 2 we’ve gone for over a year with no luck, 1 blighted ovum and 2 chemicals but I suspect a 3rd chemical in there too. We’re being seen by a fertility clinic and so far still trying naturally as they haven’t found a problem yet. …yaaaaay??? Ugh it’s so exhausting. I was just literally in tears again this morning just hoping we can have a second child. OUr son is 3 and I’m 39. I have coworkers having babies all around me and I actually find my trigger now is seeing pictures of an older sibling holding a new baby. Shatters my heart into a million pieces. Becase I just don’t know if we will ever get there. And people do not understand because they think if you have one you can just have another, like it’s that easy.

I didn’t struggle to have the first one, but it did take 8 months.  I lost my second pregnancy because it turned into an ectopic nightmare and took months to resolve.  We are on cycle #9 now and I only have one tube instead of two like before.  I’m worried.  People don’t understand and say stupid things all the time.  Its frustrating.  I’m hopeful it will happen, but I’m ready to move onto the next steps of getting help in February.

Lyndzo :  Our fertility clinic has me starting co-enzyme q10 and DHEA supplements for low ovarian reserve and egg quality. q10 is easy to get (walmart/drug stores etc) and apparantely it’s the go-to for egg health. You could even start that on your own. I’ll probalby start clomid too when I see them next week.
