I’ve been told “no facebook yet and we’ll tell you once we’ve told J” — but my Maid/Matron of Honor just IMed to say she’ll be custom ordering a dress for the wedding, because she will be six months pregnant by the time she wears it!!! Her husband is J’s best man and I’m dyyyyyying to tell him, but hopefully he’ll know by the end of the day. 🙂
I am sooooo stinking excited for them!

Oooh, thats a tough secret to keep! But just try to think that the excitement your Maid/Matron of Honor had and you felt when she told you will be the same when Bridesmaid or Best Man tells J! You can’t take that away from them. How exciting for your MOH! I love it when bridesmaids are pregnant, I think its such a positive happy thing for a wedding. (although seeing my BMs are my youngers sisters, they better not be pregnant at my wedding!)

That’s so amazing! Ooh, fingers crossed that they tell J soon so you can both know. When it’s something like this I have the HARDEST time keeping it from FH.

I would be freaking out trying not to tell him! But, you definitely can’t! Secrets like that are so hard for me to keep from my Fiance. There are other secrets that I do not share, in my opinion, friends should be able to confide in each other without fear of their SO’s finding out. As long as it doesn’t effect your SO, that shouldn’t be a problem.

How exciting! Keep yourself busy to distract from the thought!!

I keep secrets like this from my husband! After all, I hate the idea of confiding in my friends and them running to their husbands so I like to do unto them.
Sometimes i keep things from Darling Husband. They’re just none of his business! It’s not always intentional but I really try to avoid gossiping to my husband. His eyes glaze over. And frankly, there are lots of things about HIS friends I don’t wanna know!

I keep secrets, but only if they are big secrets 🙂 Then they’re in the vault. But a little secret that my non gossiping husband could know won’t hurt anyone, haha.

Oh man, great surprise! It will be hard to keep it from him! I occasionally keep secrets like this from The Hubs, if people ask me to. We were friends forever before we dated, so we have almost all of our friends in common. Plus, his best friend is married to mine, so there are times where I find out things that I end up keeping from him. (And FWIW, he knew that my best friend’s husband was going to propose and didn’t tell me!)

He hasn’t heard yet, I don’t think…. I expect at least an email from him when he does 🙂
She said they were hoping to tell him today, so…..

What great news! I tell Fiance everything, but I am a very bad secret keeper

Eek. I would try very hard to keep the secret. BUT, having a secret like that would pretty much kill me. I would totally want to tell my fiance.

so far, so good… I sent him a cryptic email saying he should call me today, but that’s about it. he hasn’t responded, so I assume they haven’t told him yet. When he hears, I he’ll totally understand why I said he should call me (haha, hopefully anyway) and know that I know and then we can be excited together…. 🙂

That’s so tough! I hope she tells everyone soon so you don’t have to keep it in too long!

I kept only two secrets from my husband:
His sister’s wedding gift to us, from the time she asked me if it would be a good idea to the time she gave it to us.
His sister planning to get engaged during the week of our Destination Wedding, after our wedding. They had found the perfect ring while on that vacation and she was excited to share that it was going to happen soon – but I wanted my husband to be surprised so I didn’t tell anything until she made her announcement herself the day after the wedding!

I can keep secrets from anyone else, but I can’t keep a secret from him to save my life! It’s like he looks at me, and instantly knows I am hiding something! It blows, because I love surprises. Ugh.
But we met playing poker, so he can just say he’s always got a good read on me.
