Secrets maroma would be our dream honeymoon but the price quote we are getting comes in at around 4K. This seems extremely expensive to me. I know it’s all inclusive and adult only but I have been to other all inclusive at no where near this price. Does this seem like an unreasonablpro ice from anyone else who has recently been??? I have looked at other similar resorts and they are coming in slightly less…but not a huge difference. Just curious to know if this sounds like a normal amount!

All I know is that flying direct from London, 2 weeks at SMB would usually come in at about $6.5k for 2 people, with transfers. So I guess it depends how long you’re going for as to whether or not that’s a good quote. SMB is one of the pricier adult-only resorts though; it’s up there with the IB Grand, El Dorado Casita Suites, and so on.
Maybe post on Trip Advisor to see what other people are playing with similar flights on similar dates?

Thanks for the info…we are only going for 7 days, but in trying to book on my own vs. travl agent I was basically getting the same price, so for this place its seems about average, just seems like alot in my opinion….but its where we really want to go 🙂

I looooved Secrets Maroma. The whole resort is amazing and would go back in a heart beat if Icould!
We paid about $4800 for 7 days with airfare (from Chicago) included. We went through a travel agent who got us a package deal (including an ocean view jr suite- their suites are amazing and totally worth the extra money) through Apple Vacations.

We stayed at Secrets Maroma for seven days in July 2011 and the price sounds right about what we paid ($4000ish). It is an amazing resort and worth every penny.

Secrets Maroma is amazing! We went for a wedding last July and it was about 3000 for 5 nights. It’s totally worth it. I wish I could have saved that place for my honeymoon!

We were there in September 2010 for 7 days. We flew from LA and paid just over $3000. Our room was an ocean view room, (not in the prefered club). We booked through cheapcarribean.com
