Unfortunately I can’t give you any info, but I second your question!  This resort is on my short list for possible honeymoon locations πŸ™‚

I would love to hear about what kind of deal you guys got! I’m nervous to book a honeymoon on my own. Thinking about going to a travel agent instead.

We booked through a travel agent and got 7 nights for just under $3000. Airfare was another $900. This place is amazing I tell you! Darling Husband and I spent a week getting pampered, relaxing in the sun, drinking, and eating our hearts out! The staff go above and beyond to make your stay a special one. We met so many wonderful people and had the time of our live! We upgraded to preferred club and since we were on our honeymoon and spending 7 nights got a free champagne breakfast in our room, a free hour long couples massage, and a free private romantic dinner on the gazebo πŸ™‚ Perfection! Feel free to PM me if you have questions!

I’ve never been but my coworker just got back from Seacrets Wild Orchid in Montego Bay and LOVED it.  She’s been to a ton of different spots in Jamaica and she said this is by far her favorite.  She said all the pictures online are EXACTLY what it looks like (they didn’t just hype up the website to draw people in).   She got back over 3 weeks ago now and she still talks about it e v e r y day! haha.  She did say that this is more of a low-key place.  they have nice entertainment, but its not a ‘spring-break’ party spot (which i consider a plus).  I almost wish we hadn’t already booked our honeymoon otherwise I would’ve probably gone there.  HAVE FUN!

@lindz629: It is as gorgeous (if not more so) than in the pictures. And it is a low-key place. There’s lots of fun to be had but it’s not a crazy party Spring break style place.

Yay, low key and picturesque sound perfect!  If we don’t end up going to Europe (like Fiance really wants to do), Wild Orchid is my #1 choice. πŸ™‚

All of your reviews sound amazing! FI’s cousin just got back from his honeymoon and they went to Sandals in St. Lucia, had one of those personal pools and all that jazz. I thought that Sandals was nice but after looking at their picuters it didn’t look too great. And it’s sooo expensive! I just want to go some where that we can lay on the beach and not be bothered by a million people.

@Treasure43: Did you ever venture down to the St. James part of the resort? I know they’re side by side on the website but didn’t know how it actually was.

@pec1216: We did go to the St. James part of the resort, as that is where the spa is located πŸ™‚ It’s a bit more low key than the Wild Orchid side. Darling Husband and I found ourselves going to the Wild orchid side when we wanted to met some new people or do something more social and to the St. James side when we were looking for a little more peace πŸ™‚

Is it sad that I’m soooo excited about the honeymoon and just excited about the wedding? I can’t wait for the alone time with Fiance, just to be away from work and everything…seriously thinking about not even taking my cell phone!

Love, love, LOVE Secrets Wild Orchid!  Not only is it a gorgeous, brand new property, but it’s only like 15-20 minutes from the airport.  The Preferred Club Swim-Up suites are very nice.  The restaurants & most of the entertainment is on the Wild Orchid side of the resort and the gym & spa (awesome spa facilities) are over on the St. James side.  There is no actual barrier between the 2 properties.  You can walk freely between the two.  The swim-up suites are only on the Wild Orchid side, though.
