@_littlebunny_:  We booked through Kettle Creek Weddings, they’re only $425 (super reasonable from what I’ve seen in the GTA) and they can do pretty much any type of ceremony you want.  We also met with Sarah Bunnett-Gibson.  She was also awesome, a little more expensive, but loads of experience and will do pretty much whatever you want.

@_littlebunny_:  Nothing overly helpful to suggest, but I’m also shocked at how difficult its been finding an officiant. I was focused on booking the major stuff first and now I’m emailing everyone I can find trying to nail someone down.

Check out All Seasons. They have a ton of options and you could specify to Debbie (thats the lady who has responded to my inquiries) that you’re looking for someone specifically secular. I noticed while I was choosing, there are people who specialize in all different types of ceremonies.

Malcolm Sinclair at the Metro United Church in TO. He is the warmest, nicest man. He is the minister at the church but will marry you anywhere. He will have as little or as much religion as you like and can marry you in 3 min or 1 hour. He likes to act in his spare time and has a big booming personality. We were confused about how our ceremony should go and after a 30 min meeting with him we were so happy with the plan. Google him, you will get a feel for his voice and personality.

We are using Martin Frith who happens to be related to my fiance’s family friend.  He’s super nice, and specializes in non-religious wedding ceremonies, and also preforms a lot of gay and lesbian ceremonies.  Might want to check out his website: www.ceremonieswithchoice.ca

_littlebunny_:  I vote for Jeremy Citron. He has come incredibly highly recommended to us and any reviews are glowing. We met with him (and booked) him last year and were looking for a similar ceremony feel as you describe. We had met with several officiants priot to him and were surprised at how strongly we felt about finding the right fit, meeting him exceeded our expectations.
