I like “real” names for kids, so I’m meh on it. But if you like it, go for it. I live in the western US and immediately thought of the town in AZ.

I’m not American and have never heard of Sedona as a place or a car. However, I don’t know how to pronounce it – is it SedOHna or SedONa?

It’s not my personal taste but I like it well enough – I wouldn’t name my child that but I also wouldn’t judge if a friend or family member named their child that. I give it like a 6/10 personally.

Just want to point out to others who have suggested “Sienna” as an alternative that a Toyota Sienna is also a car.

Also, with brands like Kia they change out models every few years I feel like, so just because there is a 2020 Kia Sedona doesn’t mean there will be a 2027 Kia Sedona by the time the kid is even in school. I really wouldn’t let that affect your choice.

Also – is Louisiana really a common name? I am familiar with Louisa but have never heard of a Louisiana (unlike Georgia, Virginia, etc. which are all familiar “place” names)

It’s not my taste but I think it’s a perfectly fine name. People on the internet will always find fault in a name lol.

It’s not in the top 1000 names according to Social Security so rather uncommon.

I don’t love it but it not bad and it’s a perfectly fine name. Doesn’t really matter if it’s a cars or horses name, it’s not ugly, strange, or something people would make fun of so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.

Made me think of the vehicle right away but I think it’s an all right name.

@AnonBee2019:  Well, the Kia Sedona came out in 2002, and a new 2021 model is out. That’s 19 years so far. If being associated with the car is bothersome, it seems that association isn’t going away anytime soon.

I really like it! It’s unique enough, but still sounds name-y to me. It does remind me of AZ, so as long as that doesn’t bother you, I think you should go with it if you like it!
