Well maybe it’s just the way the picture is, but your diamond looks large.  I personally consider small to be anything under .3, but everyone has different opinions and it’s kind of hard to tell what size yours is.  So I was expecting a smaller diamond than I saw.

@bride21: Yay ! Yours is gorgeous too ! I got the best compliment once in the video store. The girl said “your ring is stunnig and reminds me of the 30’s. I hate big huge rings that look like costume jewellry !”

@bride21: Thank you for this post!! My ring is small and not a whole diamond. It’s 1/2 ctw, but it’s mine and I love it!

Okay, seriously? Enough with the judgment PERIOD!! no one should judge women who have small rings and no one should judge women who have big rings! You think big rings are gaudy or look like “costume jewelry”…what if I said that I think small rings are cheap looking or that anything under 1/2 a carat isn’t even worth having? Doesn’t feel very nice, does it? Why can’t we all just admire our own rings and be happy for people who are happy with their rings?

And I do think your ring is lovely. Congrats.

@hilsy85: I agree. While I think your ring is beautiful, I don’t care for the judgment that has been going on in the recent ring posts. Everyone has a beautiful ring that is meant for them :-)!

By The Way, the heart detailing on the side is very pretty :-). I love hearts and almost went with a heart shaped diamond!

@hilsy85: HEY ! DUDE !!! Do you mind staying off of this thread and going back to your “big girl/big ring” thread? How dare you rain on our parade? I wasn’t directing ANYTHING toward you !

@CaraMia10:

That’s really gorgeous!  And I like your hubby’s ring as well.  My FH’s is very similar & he loves it.

@eyeHeartWeddings:

1. where did I mention what size ring I have? And I’m not sure what you mean by “big girl”…

2. I don’t mean to “rain on your parade”–if you want to have a thread about smaller rings being beautiful, more power to you! What bothers me is when it becomes that small rings are BETTER or MORE BEAUTIFUL than large rings. And when people start to make comments like “large rings are gaudy” or “large rings look like costume jewelry (aka not real).” That’s judgment, and there’s been enough of it lately, to be honest.

@Corykru: Thanks, but that’s not the point. Y’all can post your pictures of your gigantic rings with pride ? So can we post with pride. If you do not have a small ring or wish to start a fight, please stay off this thread.
