Nope. He teased me about “seeing the groom,” but I don’t think that that is actually a thing.

I think it’s totally fine, my Fiance will see me in my wedding dress before the actual ceremony because we plan on taking pictures beforehand.

I’m going to help pick everything out because my Fiance doesn’t care at all what the tuxes look like. He’s also colorblind, so I’m going to help pick out the correct shade of red for the groomsmen’s tuxes.

Are you talking on the actual wedding day or when he picks out his suit/tux?  Either one, I’m gonna say no.  I didn’t see DH’s whole get-up until the day of and he didn’t see mine, but I did help him pick out the tie (he already had a suit).

The only thing that is “taboo” is the Groom seeing the Bride in her Wedding Dress BEFORE she walks down the aisle…

The belief being that it was BAD LUCK, and the marriage wouldn’t last

Nothing wrong with the Bride going along with the Groom for his “fitting” to buy the suit, tuxedo or whatever else SHE has chosen for him to wear (lol)

I picked out the tux lol…so I guess we threw tradition to the wind with that.

We picked the suit together.

We also spent the night before together in our home.

And had breakfast.

And did things around the house.

And then we had a first look before the ceremony.

And took lots of pictures before we actually got married.

So yeah… I think it’s okay to see the groom (literally and figuratively) before the wedding 🙂

Its totally cool- you’d miss out on some fun 🙂  I was surprised at what he decided on!

What we thought he would get (and what I wanted, but he’s his own person):

What he decided on (I don’t like the white on white personally, but it doesn’t matter, he’s happy):

His reception change (hahahaha):

My favorite shot- he’s a goof:

I went with my Fiance and the groomsmen to pick out their suits. It was fun and I think they were happy I came because they don’t like making decisions lol

I went with my husband as he picked out fabric for his outfit, saw him sew it, saw him try it on and model it. He saw my dress, though not on me before the wedding.

The day of of our wedding, well we stayed in the same room the night before and we saw each other and held hands as we walked to the room we were having our ceremony in together (and we did not have an aisle or anything anyway!). It was wonderful 🙂

My husband wore his dress whites which I’ve seen on him a million times previous to the wedding.

Day of we also saw a lot of each other. It definitely helped calm our nerves. We also did a first look once I was dressed and then family photos before the ceremony. So yes, I saw him before the wedding.
