I’ve been exploring the wide world of marketing design websites for ages now (or so it seems). I have my heart set on magnet Save-The-Date Cards, yes, magnets. It’s been done, I know I know…but I am an avid magnet collector and it just feels natural, especially since my Fiance makes fun of me for it in front of pretty much everyone ๐ Any of you lovely bees have any pointer? The trickiest part is that for some reason I have my heart set on circular ones…if I’m barking up the expensive tree–feel free to crush my dream. Thanks, in advance:)

I just ordered mine from Vistaprint.
One word of advice, vistaprint is real tricky with their pricing. Sign up for their newsletter, this will give you links to savings (but you must click on the deal from your email to get the sale.
If you go to their website sometimes you don’t get the savings. Trying Googl-ing vistaprint magnets 50% off. You will find the first hit, open the link in a new window. Sometimes, it won’t be 50% off, but just 25%. Go back to your google window and try again. I did this a few times, until it gave me 50% off.
Another tip, start designing your STD in Vistaprint, but just leave it in your “portfolio”, vistaprint will send you an email saying “We’ve noticed you’ve left something in your cart. We’re going to give you an additional 10% off!”
Oh, and when you’re checking out, you’ll go through several screens to finally confirm your order. Don’t do what I did and hit the wrong button. I hit “order” thinking it was the last step, and instead I ordered 200 Save-The-Date Cards instead of 100. I complained and got my money back (had to cancel the order and redo the order).
Sounds complicated, but worth the hassle because they are by far the best in pricing over magnetstreet!
Hope this helps!

@Miss Mannequin: i used magnetqueen.com; saw them posted up here years ago by mrs. plumeria. i’m not sure if they have circular ones but the pricing and quality was amazing. i picked the “your own picture” save the date and they came out to be less than a dollar a piece; and they constantly are running 20% off specials. it came out to be 84 for 125; or 67cents a piece

I used Costco. I got 100 magnets for just over $100. Not sure about circular though…I felt the same. Like Magnets have been done… but I’ve had several nice comments like…”cute idea”, “loved the magnets”, etc. I think since we all are wedding obsessed we think everyone is “over” our special touches, yet they may have never gotten a magnetic save the date.

I used vistaprint. I got 100 for like $50 because I only wanted 75 but when I called, she said “ah, I’ll just send you 100”.
The quality was good and they were thin/lightweight enough to cost regular postage rates (which was good for me)

I used 123print. I was very pleased with them. Got 70 magnets for about 70 odd dollars.

I just got mine off of Vistaprint as well. I believe I have a 30% off coupon if you would like, send me a private message. Mine are rectangular. I found circular ones on another site that I liked but they were so much more expensive. I’ll attach a picture of ours ๐

We got ours at MagnetStreet.com! They threw in some extras, they looked great, and everyone really liked them.

I was gonna use magnetstreet.com before we decided to DIY our magnet Save the Dates. We are going to use the CD from our e-pic and Fiance is going to photoshop the date and our names on it. I found sheets of sticky magnet stuff at Michaels for $10 and I am just going to print the pictures at Walgreens and put them on the magnet sheets and cut them out. It is going to save me over $100 and look EXACTLY how we want!

I can’t wait to order mine!
We are announcing our engagement to his family in person over Easter weekend and I will order them right afterwards.
I think magnets are great for a DW!
Any of your girls order your stuff into Canada? Costco.ca doesn’t have any wedding stuff ๐

@MrsNeutrino: How big are your magnets? It’s hard to tell from the picture. Thanks.

Yours is soooo neato and amazing! Did you do the graphics yourself and just send it to the company?

I used http://www.freshimpressions.us/ for mine. You are able to customize them how ever you want and they will email proofs back and forth to you. They were really thick too in comparison to some of the others and were similar in cost. These were 3.5 by 4.
