I wish I had booked myself a massage or something. I love facials but combined with the stress my sensitive skin probably would’ve protested.

I really regret not giving myself more pampering & down time. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Massage sounds like a great idea! But be careful about the facial – if it’s a peel and you have sensitive skin it might not be the best idea to do it 1 day before the wedding!

I did not pamper myself beforehand, I was running around like crazy and then we had a surprise snow storm, lol.

teamroro :  I just did all the regular stuff that I do, which consists of hair extensions, lash extensions and getting my nails done. I wish I would have gotten a spray tan, I was so pasty.

I would hold off on the facial till after the wedding.

    futuremrs2020 :

This was back when we still lived in SoCal and *everybody* had spray tans.

Weekly airbrushing was starting to get pricey. (I actually have done the booth thing ๐Ÿ™„).  Since my now Dh is pretty handy with a paint sprayer, we just ordered the tanning stuff and DIY’d it every week.

    teamroro :

I would agree with not experimenting with any new chemicals right before the day of; but, massages sound perfect.

On the off chance of any face redness, Smashbox makes a fabulous correcting primer for that.  It’s green, but not to worry.  My skin is quite sensitive; this stuff is my go to.  Sometimes I use it under another primer, if I’m going for a particular effect.

Right before the wedding, my main income stream got shut off.  Aaaaannnnddd, Dh got laid off.  What a merry mess that was.

I was so glad I did not overspend.

But, no little luxuries for me. ๐Ÿ˜’

Naw. Wedding or not I don’t really care for massages or facials and stuff like that.  I never feel it’s worth it.

Honestly, I thought I would have everything taken care of, but I ended up with so many little things that I was doing until 10pm the night before the wedding.  Picking up the cake, visiting early out of town guests, grocery shopping for breakfast the next morning etc.  I can’t even remember everything I did, but I sure was busy.  I wasn’t super stressed or hectic, the to-do list was just large.

So make sure you are going to have everything under control!

My MUA had different packages for brides and one of them included manicure, pedicure and something called a “bride’s bath”.

This consistet of a facial, full body peeling and a massage. All of which I got two days prior to the wedding.

It was so worth it. It was one of the best moments of my entire wedding planning time. I was able to let go and not worry about things for some hours.

I also booked a relaxation facial and did a mani/pedi before our wedding. I don’t regret it at all, my skin had never looked so good! I’m waiting for my next excuse to treat myself to a facial, to be honest!
