I just wanted to post an update on what I decided to do in terms of self-marriage.
I didn’t marry myself, but did have a personal ceremony of transition that has a very secure place in my religious community. I don’t know why I hadn’t thought of it before, but in doing reading and study, felt that this ritual would be very meaningful for me, which it was.
The ritual and ceremony took place a week ago in New York and I was very happy afterward. There were no witnesses and I didn’t tell anyone IRL. Then I spent a week traveling around the East Coast on my own and flew home on Sunday night.

I’m glad you took some time to yourself and that it was meaningful. Out of curiousity what religious community do you belong to?
