we’re pretty decided on a venue that allows us not only to bring in our own alcohol, but doesn’t require that we hire a bartender. We may hire one anyway, but this is an area where we could save a ton of money. Pretty much everyone will be staying at the venue, and we’re doing a laid-back bbq dinner. The venue is a summer camp.
-Several kegs set up w/ signs and cups
-Set up of some bottled beers/hard lemonade/iced tea & sodas/non-alcoholic bottles (maybe in a canoe w/ ice?)
-Large containers of water w/ pitchers on the table (can fill them up for the table)
-I’m not sure we need a champagne toast- we’d rather keep things simple.
The question is re: wine. We’ll just buy bulk wine (a white and a red). What do you think about having the wine on display somehow with wine openers on each table? We could start the dinner with a bottle of red & a bottle of white on each table, and then people could get new bottles as needed, and open them at the table?
Thoughts on this? Problems you see? Ideas for display/how to make this look nice?
