Even if you had a daughter, she might not like the style (though I think it is beautiful!)… you could always test the waters and put it up for sale, but if you don’t think you’ll get what it is worth you can have it preserved and hang onto it. $600 is pretty inexpensive for a wedding dress, In My Humble Opinion.

I think it’s beautiful, but you can’t count on it being to a possible future daughter’s taste or even her size. I would sell it, but I can’t stand have non-used stuff around and don’t have a ton of room. If you think you do want to sell it, I would do so ASAP, as styles change so quickly nowadays.

bturner1221: Personally, I would sell it. You got a really good deal on this dress, so recouping even $500 would be excellent. I don’t think you should keep it on the off chance that you have a daughter, and the dress fits, and it’s a style she loves. I just think that could add extra stress to the bride to have to come up with a way to gently tell her mom that she isn’t wearing her dress.

thank you for the advice! im definitely leaning more towards selling now 🙂 my mother in law gave me a hard time about it, i think thats why i was on the fence! but yes, 600 was a great deal!! i was hoping for just getting 300 out of it. Is there a good place to post it for sale??
