I sold my dress recently and shipped it through Fed Ex.  I did the “If it fits, it ships” and paid I think $20 for shipping!  I had the mail person put it in the box but they asked if there were any specific instructions for how to fold or not fold.  Luckily for me there weren’t any.  I definitely recommend Fed Ex. I was able to track the dress easily and so was the bride and she said other than some wrinkling of the dress (which is expected when its shipped) it came in perfect condition.  Also I had the dress shipped in the bag I got from the salon and with the hanger, so I know the box had to be fairly big for only $20.

I just sold a dress regret dress. I had it listed on preownedweddingdresses.com but I was actually getting more interest through the local Kijiji listing I made – and that’s ultimately how I sold it so the girl came to try it on and picked it up.

So I don’t have advice on the shipping end, but try local listings too!
