@cherryblossomlove: The other thing you MIGHT want to look into is the flat rate shipping the USPS has. I don’t know how big of boxes they have but I bet it is way less than $75. And my best guess would be to take it to the post office or however you are shipping it and see what they say.

Put it in the box and take it to whenever someone has a scale.. the gym maybe?

You should package the dress up in the box you intend to ship it in and take it to the post office. They will weigh it for you and give you an exact amount. If you don’t know who you are shipping it to, just choose a zip code that is across the country from yours and that should cover it no matter where it goes.

Consider insuring the package and get delivery confirmation. For something this expensive I would recommend getting signature required as well.

$75 is very high. How are you shipping it? USPS? Fed Ex? UPS?

If you have a paypal account, you can receive payments if the person has your email address (the one associated with your paypal account). They go to “Send money” and can do so by entering your email.

There’s a flat rate shipping box that I know you can fit that dress in and it’s about $15.95, plus a few cents extra for the delivery confirmation which you will want! I ordered a mermaid wedding gown from ebay and it came in the largest flat rate box (for $16 ish) but I returned it since it didn’t fit.

She will have to create a Paypal account, but you don’t HAVE to send her an invoice, she can make a payment to you from her own account using the email address you have your paypal account set up under.

Edited to add: Congrats on selling it so quickly!
