I purchased this dress in February 2020.
It is gorgeous – super comfortable and light, easy to move in and never feeling restricted. It is a sheath with a beaded bodice and a little mesh/lace around the V’s in the front and back. There are buttons in the back with a zipper benath. It made me feel like I was in a Letters to Juliet type movie (with no poofiness)!
This dress is by an Australian Designer Madi Lane. ML7617. This is AU Size 12 (Bust – 38.5, Waist – 30.5, Hip 42.5), which roughly translates to a US 10. The dress was slightly large on me – to be addressed in alterations – as this was the only size at the store and has been discontinued.
I purchased this dress at a boutique that sells discount dresses that have previously been floor samples. The dress is not in perfect condition – there are some buttons missing their covers/entirely (approx. 5) and is a bit worn at the bottom. The dress is fairly long (photos are standing on a platform in 4″ heels at 5’2″) so the bottom would have been hemmed, and the alterations would have included buttons. The “eye” of the hook and eye is also missing from the top of the zipper – another easy fix.
This dress is unaltered and has never been worn.
Retail price was approx $1,200 USD. As a sample, I purchased it for $530. Asking $400.
I ended up choosing a different dress that I had tried on that same day – I had loved it and it went on a CRAZY sale at David’s Bridal and just felt like more my style 🙂
