No, isn’t that what the contract is for?  All they need to know is date, time, and the agreed upon services to be rendered.

Are you asking if you’re supposed to treat your vendors to dinner?  Or if you’re just supposed to remind them your date, time, and location?  Either way, there’s no need to send them invitations.  They’re working, not guests.  And the details of when and where should be worked out in the contract.

I did send them STD, because we had extras & we became buddy-buddy with some of them (photog, band).. but I didn’t send them an invitation.

I wouldn’t unless they were actually “friendors”.

@Amsy28:  Absolutely not.  They are not invited guests, they are people you have contracted to provide a service.

No, they’ll be all excited about the invitation and then so sad to realize, oh wait — it’s just a gig.

You should sent the officiant (and his/her partner) an invitation, but you don’t need to “invite” any of the other vendors.

@Amsy28:  I sent one to our wedding coordinator and photographer. Our photographer mentioned how much she loves receiving invitations from her clients. It also helps them better understand the theme or feeling of the wedding. Of course I didn’t do it to remind them of the date/time!!

I can’t believe so many people voted no!!!

No, but I did send one to my Catholic priest who is the officiant. I felt that he needed one so he knew he was welcome to the reception afterwards.
