As some of you know, I’m struggling with my family about our wedding date, because of legal issues, etc. that prohibit us from having our marriage license on our wedding day.
Anywho, I’m starting to cave, and feeling like it’ll just be easier to do a different day. I can’t fight anymore.
So, that leaves me with notifying all of the guests. Should I send new Save-The-Date Cards really quick, so everyone gets that? Or should I just send invites very soon with the new date on it?
Boy oh boy..what a mess!

Just the invitations I think… and maybe spread the word that the date has been changed.

I would just do the invites as soon as you can. And start telling people, word will spread fast.

Don’t spend more money on the Save-The-Date Cards, send invites and start spreading the word, I think most people go by the date on the invite…

Okay, great thanks ladies. I didn’t send Save-The-Date Cards to everyone, just the people that needed them, so I think it’ll be fine too. Sheesh what a mess!

How soon do you think I should send them? The new date will be mid-August – so I don’t want to send them too soon.
I also thought about putting a small vellum square on top of the invite that says ‘please notice the new date..’
What do you think??

I think invitations would be fine. I remember when there was no such thing as Save The Dates.
It would just be an added expense you can spend on your honeymoon:) just my opinion.
