So… is it “the norm” to have a “send-off” dress that you change into right before the send-off/farewell? You know…so you can actually fit into the car LOL.
Anyone planning to have one?
If so…where’d you get yours??

@inky_1: It is tradition to do this. However, I did not do it.
My Darling Husband and I did not get to have our limo until AFTER our reception was over, and I wanted pics of me wearing my dress in the limo. I also wanted to arrive at the beautiful downtown hotel in our departure city (about an hour and a half from our venue) wearing our wedding attire.

I’ve certainly heard of it before often also referred to as a “going away dress” but I won’t be having one. After the reception we’re just walking up to our hotel room! No need to change.

I have one that I will have with me the night of the wedding but I am not certain I will change. I am just going to see how I feel that night. My wedding gown has long sleeves and will likely be very hot so I may not last the entire night in it. I have a pretty, knee-length, short sleeved dress I might change into.
