Just wanted to see what everyone thought… I have a family member who is starting up a paper products company doing my wedding invitations. They look great. I asked her when we should send out invites (she just got married a year ago too) for my June 7 wedding and she said April 19 is the day with May 23 the RSVP date. I didn’t do save the dates either. Is it just me or does that seem a little late to send out invites? If so… how would you suggest asking to move the date up? She’s giving us a great deal so I don’t want to seem ungrateful or demanding or anything.

It’s cutting it close. 6 weeks before is the absolute latest you can send them out. As someone who did this, I recommend sending them out sooner. We got about a 25% response rate and had to track down, call, and harass everyone else to get an answer. It was NOT fun.

That’s cutting it a little close. I sent mine out March 12 with a May 1 RSVP date. See if she can get them out a week earlier?
