I didn’t open my gifts at my shower – and my sister (the hostess) thought it would be nice if I included a picture of me opening the present with my thank you’s.
My thank you’s are written (the shower was this past Saturday), but I keep forgetting to sync my camera and order the pictures!
I want to get the thank you’s in the mail this week… and am wondering if you think adding the pictures are a nice touch or if I should just send them without it.

I think it’s a nice touch but unnecessary! The gifters won’t know any different!

I think sending them without the picture is fine. I would rather send them out sooner.

If I was the recipient of the thank you it would not matter to me if there was a picture or not.

Saying thank you in a timely fashion is more important than including the picture. It’s definitely a cute idea, but it’s not necessary.

i would think it was silly to have a picture of my friend opening my gift if she didnt open it in front of me. i would assume that the picture was posed, or unnatural, since she planned it enough to take pictures of herself opening gifts just for the thank you card.
i think that a genuine (timely) note thanking them for the specific gift means more than a silly posed picture.

Always send out thank you notes asap. Most people do not feel the need for a picture of you opening the gift.
