Just send a thank you card right now. I can’t think of any reason to wait and if I received a text about it, I’d probably assume you thought that was sufficient. It’s adequate but not great.

Can you just send a thank you card in the next few days?  I tried to send thank yous as soon as I could as gifts arrived.  It’s easier too doing a few at a time.

I don’t see an issue letting him know it arrived via text and sending a card in the mail in the next week. Regardless… one week for a thank you note isn’t bad at all.

It is not wrong to send a quick text acknowledging the gift, but the thank you card should also be mailed asap, preferably the same day. Get some blank cards and acknowledge gifts as they arrive. If he works at he same company as your fiance, he’s probably not much interested in a bridal photo anyhow.

I agree that a card should be sent asap. The few days before he receives the card are fine, provided he receives the card in a timely manner.

Good decision. Thank you notes should not have to wait for photo cards, now or after the wedding. If someone takes the time and effort and spends the money to send you a gift, a handwritten note is most appropriate.

I’d send a short text something along the lines of “thanks for the gift it arrived this morning” then post a thank you card asap
