So probably late next month (about 2 months after the wedding) we’ll be sending out a huge batch of announcements (wouldn’t be surprised if we topped 200). Do I need to add things to our registry? Do people usually send presents just b/c you sent them an announcement?
We only have like 5 things left on our registry.

I don’t know for sure but it can’t hurt to add some extra items. I would guess that most people won’t get something (the economy) but some people will be so happy for you that they will want to give you something. I’d keep items on the less expensive side, though.
Congrats on being a newlywed!

I think it depends on how much money the people you’re sending announcements to and how close you are to them. If it were me, I wouldn’t add anything… you’re not putting registry information on the announcement, are you?
If someone sent me an announcement, I wouldn’t go searching online for their registry. If I really wanted to send something, I’d pick something out myself that I think you’d like, or just send a card.

Might as well, it can’t hurt! But I wouldn’t expect gifts :o)

No, there won’t be any info about registries on the announcement, but a lot of the announcements are going to godparents, aunts, uncles, cousins etc.
