Send it back and get it fixed.

I’m having to do similar with my Engagement Ring. I’d rather have what he chose and paid for than a messed up ring… he didn’t PAY for a messed up ring. He didn’t CHOOSE a messed up ring.

How about your ring is gorgeous and your fiance loves you so much that he proposed to marry you for the rest of his life?

(and I can’t figure out what’s wrong with your ring)

I don’t know. Maybe I’m blind but I can’t figure out where the milligrain is messed up? The ring looks beautiful to me!!! If there was a big problem with it I could see sending it back, but since your husband wants you to keep it and it looks fine to me I would just keep it.

Although it is something that is going to cause you bitterness looking back on the whole situation maybe it’d be bets to just go ahead and fix it.

I don’t see any problem with the ring from your last photo.

Personally, under no circumstances would I give up the ring my Fiance proposed with. I’d take it in to another jewler who isn’t as unreliable as the one you’re using, especially since it seems the damage is so slight.

I also think you should think about your Fiance feelings a bit here. IMO it’s disrespectful to say you need to “pussyfoot” around his feelings, but maybe you didn’t mean it the way I took it.

Anyway, I vote for keeping the ring. I hope you can find a local jewler who can fix it to your liking.

Making an extremely long story short, I went to hell and back trying to get my (custom) ring to be made correctly.

All I can say is that it’s important that you are happy with it or it will piss you off for eternity.

That being said, I think your ring looks damned near perfect.  But YOU have to look at it, not me.

My feelings about the ring are more important than DH’s. Mainly because I have to wear it daily and he has to put up with me daily. lol. Happy wife, happy life!

@MissNoodles:  I’m getting a complete new setting too, but my mistake was different. They gave him the total wrong setting in the first place.

I barely BARELY see the warping in yours.

I would not have noticed if I hadn’t looked closely and specifically for the warping.

I’m torn.  On the one hand, I wouldn’t put up with their mistake.  On the other hand, it’s so minute I would feel like a pain in the ass.  And I would have some emotional attachment, but that would factor in less than just being unhappy with it.

    In other words, no help.

@MissNoodles:  Honestly, it’s not the popular opinion here, but it’s a freaking huge purchase to make without it being perfect…know what I mean? I mean think here… IDK how much your ring cost, but a lot of e-rings are 1k + and I seriously would never pay thousands of dollars for something and accept anything less than what I ordered.

I’m sorry but I really just can’t tell the difference.
