(Closed) Sephora: Help a struggling bee pick products!

I took pics of nearly everything I recommended just to see colors….

1) Palettes-  I have all the Naked palettes and I like the Naked 1 as a first buy from that collection. If you don’t already own a good mid-range palette, I would get the Kat Von D shade and light or Monarch e/s palette.It has great pigment and blends well.

Other good palettes I’d recommend are Lorac Pro 1 and 2, the shadow is buttery soft and extremely blendable, especially if you struggle with blending. For budget, Makeup Geek and Color Pop each make amazing shadows, but don’t have a variety of “palettes” available.

2) Liner- Trooper by Kat Von D is my holy grail liner as others have mentioned. For pencil liners, I love Marc Jacobs Skyliners. For budget, L’oreal Silkissime liners are awesome.

3) Highlight- I love Becca in Champagne Pop and Opal, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders (they have two palettes available that I love). Color Pop has amazing highlighters in a soft gel/ powder texture and only $8. I love Highly Waisted, Double Dip and Hippo (cool icy duo chrome)

4) Contour-I love the KatVon D Shade and light palette, the highlight powders are nice in here too without the excess shimmer. i think the pink in the kit would be lovely on you. The Marc Jacobs Light Filter contour/highlight is awesome for you in the lightest color. The Marc Jacobs is more subtle in the lightest shade  ( I have the medium), texture is just luxurious! 

5) Blush-Tarte makes great blush (I always pick up the blush palettes, they are a great value). I have a great dupe for Nars Orgasm, Milani blush in Luminoso, which I actually like better and keep repurchasing. It’s the pefect peachy pink without tons of shimmer.

6) Concealer- I love Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (custard for me), but I like Maybelline Fit Me just as much (in light) just as much…good dupe!

7) Lips- Bite Beauty makes my favorite lipstick, pigmented, creamy, beautiful colors. My fave is Mimosa.

I just wanted to add that covergirl rose silk blush is almost identical to the nars blush. It’s a lot cheaper and you should be able to find it in a lot of places.

For eyeshadow palettes….I have the Naked 1, and to be honest, I rarely use it. I also have the Too Faced Chocolate Bar, which is okay, but I love the Lorac Pro palette! It’s got mattes and shimmer shades, and a good range of “neutrals”. It’s all I use anymore. 

For concealer….I bought Nars creamy concealer for my best friend for her wedding, and she loves it. I, however, use the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, and it is very much so a dupe, for a lot less $!

For eyeliner….the best eyeliner & only one I have found to actually stay in my waterline for tightlining without smudging or running everywhere (or just disappearing!) is also by Nars. I think it’s called Nars Larger Than Life Long-wear eyeliner, color-Via Veneto (black). 

Bronzer….for a few years now, I’ve used the Too Faced Chocolate bronzer in Milk Chocolate. I’m pretty fair-skinned, so I can’t use something too orangey or too muddy, and this has worked very well for me! When I get a little tanner, or if I’m the palest I can be, it works great! Super blendable, doesn’t look splotchy or dirty, bonus- it smells like chocolate! 

Powder—I just use the Rimmel Stay Matte powder, it works great. If you’re looking for a loose powder, I have heard the MUFE loose powder has a white cast, so that’s a no-go for pictures. I have heard great things about the Laura Mercier secret brightening powder. For a cheap drugstore alternative, the Cody airspun powder is amazing and only a few bucks! 

Blush—I don’t buy high end blushes. I will spend the money on mostly any other make up product, but for blushes I won’t. I’ve found Milani blushes to be amazing! They have a dupe for the Nars orgasm (Luminoso), also NYX Summer Peach is awesome. You might want to consider something that is a cooler pink shade, with fair skin and red hair, sometimes the peachy blushes can pull too orange! 

For Lipsticks…NARS lipsticks are amazing, as are Bite, and for much cheaper options-Colour Pop lippie sticks! They have a huuuuuuge color range, anything you can imagine, and they have several different finish options. They also have liquid lips if that’s something you’re into. 🙂
