So we need a thread too!! I think every other date in September has its own thread! Where are all my date twins? We are approaching the 10 month mark! Where is everyone at in their wedding planning!?
I am currently working on my Save-The-Date Cards to send out in a week or two. I am still dress hunting I am going to another store tomorrow. I have gotten a couple flower and cake quotes and we are trying to make a decision here soon on those to book them.
What is DONE:
Bridesmaids officially asked
I feel like I have alot done.. there is still just so much more to do, but I am loving every second of this planning process!
How is everyone else coming along?!

- Venue (ceremony and reception, food, cake, alcohol, day of coordinator)
- Room blocks (at venue hotel and motel down the street)
- Guest list
- Wedding party picked out – yet to be officially asked
- Website in the works
My planning is on hold since my SO hasn’t proposed yet, so we’ve been planning in secret (technially engaged, without telling too many people… even though most of our guest list knows, now). We both really wanted this date and venue, so we had to start booking!

Wow! You guys have done a ton! Our date is September 25th, 2015. We’ve done:
- Reception Venue (food & alcohol)
- Ceremony location
- Guest list

We’re not going to be having a wedding party, and we’re thinking of having my brother be the “DJ” for the music, so I don’t feel like we have a lot left – flowers, cake, photographer, save the date’s, and invitations. Oh and the dress of course. 🙂 I really want to get our save the date’s out there, but I’m holding off on purpose because I feel like it’s too soon to send them. Maybe not though??

damarajade: wow you have alot done for not being engaged!! Thats great.. And congrats on your upcoming engagment!!
mcasey4: You’ve got plenty of time for the smaller things! The important ones are booked so thats good!! And I am slightly OCD with our Save-The-Date Cards because we just took our engagement pictures so they are fall themed..and I dont want to send them out in winter with fall pictures lol.. but I do think its a tiny bit early oh well whats the difference in 2 months I think itll be okay

ours is Sept 18, 2015. We have
working on save the dates now 🙂
We have got:
Reception venue (includes food/caterers + cake)
Photographer (includes hair and makeup)
We’re almost done with:
Invitations (not doing STDs)
Groom’s outfit (he knows what he wants but won’t buy it until the summer)
Bridesmaid’s outfit (same)
Best man’s outit (same)
Transportation between ceremony and reception
Wedding rings (know what we want but will order them next year)
Hotel (stayin at the reception venue, but need to book it in properly)
Left to do:
Transport to ceremony
Guest book and other small decor details
DJ (will have a sound system and a playlist instead, having a small wedding with mostly family)
Save-The-Date Cards (not common in our cultures)
Engagement pictures (not common in our cultures)
So all in all, we’re pretty good on time. Just need to order the invites pretty soon, because we have faraway guests and need to send them out at least early February.

10 month mark is today!! Yay!! 🙂 So far, we have the:
-Church & priest, and pre-marriage counseling and conference
-Photographer, with Engagement Pics done this summer
-Bridal party asked
Next projects are the guest list (we just know it’s huge!), bridesmaids dresses, and cake. I’ll be finishing up this (2nd to last!) semester of graduate school and moving home soon, so we’ll be able to get a lot more done then. I love the planning process too, it’s so much fun!!
So exciting to see how everyone is doing! We’ll have to keep each other posted as we get new things accomplished. 🙂

- Wedding: September 2015 - Country Club
I am freaking out lately because I feel like I’m so far behind. I always feel like I’m forgetting something big that I need to do.
Done so far:
– Venue (ceremony & reception)
– Dress ordered
-Guest list (seeing in-laws for X-mas to add on to it)
I’m planning my engagement photos for after the first of the year, and I also need to call florists and bakeries. Other than that all I can think of is invitations, favors and getting the groomsmen and bridesmaids set (and groom haha).
Anyone working with some type of checklist?
SeaOfLove: I do the same thing!! 🙂
Kristina1213: Sounds like you’re doing pretty well! I’m using The Knot’s checklist, not following it to a “T” but it’s a good guide.
futuremrsJR: Yay for getting your dress! What is it like?
futuremrsJR: Oh that is soo pretty! Congrats on finding the one. 🙂
